Hotel Kría is a modern hotel built in 2018. We are located just beside road No. 1, also known as the Ring Road, in the village Vik, South Iceland. Our strategic location is the perfect base for discovering the natural treasures of the breathtaking south coast.

Drangar Restaurant offers traditional Icelandic cuisine with a modern twist.
Puffins can be seen from May till late August.
In Vik, they nest in the cliffs above the black sand beach (a short walk from the hotel). Other places to spot them are Reynisfjara and Dyrholaey Dyrholaey is closed at night during nesting season (May and June).

The location was amazing, very spacious and comfortable rooms, exceptional dining service at night and great marmalade at breakfast! You are just across the Black Sand Beach and just behind the hotel, you have mountain views and the church of Vik. You can also ask for a Northern Light wake-up call. It's definitely a lovely stay for your road trip in the South of Iceland.
